Set one year after the events of Halloween 4, Michael Myers returns to Haddonsfield once again to try and kill his niece.

Rachel Carruthers: [Takes Jamie's hands] I'll be back in 2 days, okay?
[nods]
Rachel Carruthers: Mom and Dad send their love.
[they hug. And all of the sudden there is a big crash. Something has been thrown in the window. Tina comes back in, as Loomis picks up a brick with a note taped to it. "The evil child must die!" it reads. Cut to Rachel and Loomis outside]
Rachel Carruthers: How could they? When are they going to realize that she is not him? She's just a child.
Dr. Sam Loomis: They know that Michael Myers is her uncle and that she attacked her foster mother, that's why they fear her, especially on Halloween.
Rachel Carruthers: I never should have let my parents talk me into leaving. I don't know what I was thinking.
Dr. Sam Loomis: You're afraid.
Rachel Carruthers: I am not.
Dr. Sam Loomis: You're afraid the whole thing might start to happen again. There's nothing wrong with being afraid.
Rachel Carruthers: And I suppose there's nothing wrong with just leaving my little foster sister here alone?
Dr. Sam Loomis: You can telephone her from the cabin. She'll be properly looked after.
Dr. Sam Loomis: You've got to help me Jamie. You've got to help me find him. We both know he's alive.
[Yells]
Dr. Sam Loomis: But you know where he is! Why? Why are you protecting him? What about you're stepmother Jamie? You love her, don't you? He made you stab her. You can't hide from him. He'll always get to you. Jamie, Jamie you listen. Today in the cemetery somebody dug up a coffin. It was the coffin of a 9 year old girl.
[Nurse comes in]
Dr. Sam Loomis: What do you think he is going to do with that? huh? Your 9 years old, are you Jamie?
Nurse Patsey: Dr. Loomis! Leave the little girl alone.
Dr. Sam Loomis: Tears won't get you anywhere. Help me to find him. We'll find him together! There's a reason why he has this power over you. Did you ever wonder what it is?
Rachel Carruthers: Well what about Max?
Deputy Nick Ross: A doby, right?
[Max comes running down the sidewalk]
Rachel Carruthers: This is not happening to me! Max! Max, what have you done? I'm so embarrassed.
Deputy Nick Ross: That's what we're here for.
Deputy Tom Farrah: Rescue cats.
Deputy Nick Ross: Find dogs.
Deputy Tom Farrah: That's our job.
Deputy Nick Ross: And we love it.
Sheriff Ben Meeker: National Guard will take him to a maximum security facility where he'll stay till the day he dies.
Jamie Lloyd: He'll never die.
Dr. Sam Loomis: [Tina arrives at the clinic] Tina.
Tina Williams: Where's Jamie? Is something wrong?
Jamie Lloyd: [says clearly] Tina.
Tina Williams: [runs to her and they hug] Say it again.
Jamie Lloyd: T-ina.
Tina Williams: I love it.
[they hug]
Tina Williams: Take me, but spare my friend... She's a virgin
Spitz: [dressed as Michael Myers] Got her phone number?
[They all laugh]
Deputy Nick Ross: You think that's funny?
Spitz: [taking off mask] Hey, hey, no man, no hey, just a little Halloween prank, Okay?
Deputy Tom Farrah: Definitely not funny. Somebody could even be dead right now.
Deputy Nick Ross: Fortunately we're lousy cops.
Mikey: So how many cases can we get?
Spitz: Three cases. Any more and I think old Mr. Casy would-ah-know something's up, but we gotta get going, shift changes pretty soon. You gonna pull around back or should we both get busted out front?
Dr. Sam Loomis: Michael, it will destroy you too. One day Michael this rage which drives you, will think if you kill them all it will go away. It won't. You have to fight it in the place where its strongest.
[Myers can be faintly seen in the woods]
Dr. Sam Loomis: Where it all began. If you want to get rid of this rage, Michael, go home. Go home. Go to your house, I shall be there waiting for you. You'll find her waiting for you...
Dr. Max Hart: Jamie, Jamie. Jamie,
[Since Jamie seems not able to breathe on her own, they start to place something in her throat]
Dr. Sam Loomis: No! No!
Dr. Max Hart: What are you doing?
Dr. Sam Loomis: Leave her.
Dr. Max Hart: This girl is dying; I have to open her trachea, for God's sake.
Dr. Sam Loomis: She will stabilize.
Dr. Max Hart: She's dying.
Dr. Sam Loomis: No...
[Jamie becomes calm and can breathe again]
Dr. Sam Loomis: Do you see?
Dr. Max Hart: I see you want this girl dead...
Dr. Sam Loomis: She has something to tell us.
Tina Williams: Just great the old silent treatment, huh, Mike? What I do wrong this time? Huh? Is it because I wanna see Jamie? Nothing Mike, that's what I get, Nothing. Stop here. I want a pack of cigarettes.
[Car speeds up, past the store]
Tina Williams: I said stop the goddamn car. I wanna pack of cigarettes.
[slams breaks]
Tina Williams: Come on, well?
[car backs up]
Tina Williams: Great. Psycho boyfriend.
[she gets out]
Jamie Lloyd: Don't go.
Tina Williams: I have to.
Jamie Lloyd: Why?
Tina Williams: Because. You might not understand but when you're older there are people you're gonna meet who make you feel like connected. Like your heart is made of neon and when you find them you have to be with them.
Jamie Lloyd: But he was with you.
Tina Williams: Who?
Jamie Lloyd: The boogeyman.
Tina Williams: Oh yeah, that's one way of describing him.
[Kisses her, and gets up]
Jamie Lloyd: Tina, no!
Tina Williams: Honey, I will come back later tonight and I will sleep with you right here.
Jamie Lloyd: Tina!
Tina Williams: I'll be back. I love you.
Jamie Lloyd: [Screaming and crying] Tina!
Jamie Lloyd: [Struggling] Stooorrre.
Billy Hill: Store.
Dr. Sam Loomis: Store? What kind of store? What do they sell there?
Jamie Lloyd: [struggles] All nighter.
Billy Hill: All nighter.
Dr. Sam Loomis: What do they sell?
Jamie Lloyd: [trying] Big...
Billy Hill: Big.
Jamie Lloyd: Woman.
Billy Hill: Woman.
Dr. Sam Loomis: A big woman, who works in the store?
Jamie Lloyd: [shaking head] No!
Dr. Sam Loomis: What Jamie, what?
[She's crying]
Jamie Lloyd: Cookie Woman.
Billy Hill: Cookie Woman.
Dr. Sam Loomis: Cookie Woman?
Cop at Pageant: [into walkie talkie] Dale's Gas Station, 5th in Main.
Dr. Sam Loomis: Why don't you stay the night?
Tina Williams: Oh, sorry, I've got to run.
Dr. Sam Loomis: Tina, please.
Tina Williams: Stay away okay. You know you're really creepy, filling that little girl with all that bogeyman crap.
Dr. Sam Loomis: I believe that you're in danger. Jamie believes it too.
Tina Williams: Jamie is a 9-year-old girl.
Dr. Sam Loomis: Be sensible.
Tina Williams: [laughs] I'm never sensible if I can help it.
[walks away]
Dr. Sam Loomis: She was shaking, her whole body was shaking.
Sheriff Ben Meeker: Every time a little girl twitches I'm supposed to call out the national guard...
Dr. Sam Loomis: How many people did he kill last year? Have you forgotten? Your own daughter!
Sheriff Ben Meeker: [grabs Loomis] I don't...
Dr. Sam Loomis: [Cuts him off] No of course you don't forget. How could you? You never looked into his face did you? You never saw his eyes. You never saw that, that nothing no expression, blank. My memory goes back 11 years to the night I offered... I'm gonna show you. Show you something, look.
[lifts up his hand]
Dr. Sam Loomis: look at this, look at that. I prayed that he would burn in Hell, but in my heart I knew that Hell would not have him.
Rachel Carruthers: [on the phone] Bye sweetie, I love you. You be a good girl. Bye.
Dr. Sam Loomis: [hangs the phone up] So she was perfectly all right. Come on Billy, I think Jamie needs to get some rest.
Billy Hill: Jamie, are you okay?
[Tries to touch her, but she slaps him away]
Dr. Sam Loomis: Come on.
[Billy leaves, Loomis stays and closes the door. He gets a pen and paper]
Dr. Sam Loomis: You sense something don't you? Tell me. Tell me what you know.
[She is crying and trying to speak]
Dr. Sam Loomis: Here write, write, write. Write what you know! Jamie please, Please.
[she won't]
