A NASA astronaut (Thornton), forced to retire years earlier so he could save his family farm, has never given up his dream of space travel and looks to build his own rocket, despite the government's threats to stop him.

Charles Farmer: You see, when I was a kid, they used to tell me that I could be anything I wanted to be. No matter what. And maybe I am insane, I don't know, but I still believe that.
Charles Farmer: So, what do you wanna be when you get out of here?
Child #2: I don't know.
Charles Farmer: What do you mean, you don't know?
Child #2: I don't know.
Charles Farmer: Well, let me tell you something, you better know what you wanna do before somebody knows it for you. Trust me.
Arnold 'Arnie' Milan: You got bad credit, but, uh, you got great character.
Audrey 'Audie' Farmer: I expect you home for dinner.
Judge Miller: [grabs a paddle] Assume the position.
Will Beacon: You're not really gonna whack me with that thing, are you?
Charles Farmer: What makes you think your dad would wear a pink turtleneck?
Audrey 'Audie' Farmer: The color is salmon.
Charles Farmer: That's the color on the inside of a salmon. I don't think a fish would wear that color on the outside.
Audrey 'Audie' Farmer: Without the rocket, we're just a disfunctional family.
Charles Farmer: Ladies and gentleman, may I have your attention, please? I'm going to the moon, and I'm bringing a balloon.
Shepard Farmer: I'm going to the moon and I'm bringing an oxygen tank.
Charles Farmer: I believe you're going to the moon.
Stanley Farmer: I'm going to the moon, and I'm bringing Mr. Grump.
Audrey 'Audie' Farmer: No, but not at the table.
Shepard Farmer: You're not bringing a hamster to the moon.
Stanley Farmer: Yes, I can.
Charles Farmer: Yes, she can. I believe she's going to the moon.
Stanley Farmer: Ooh. Ha ha.
Sunshine Farmer: I'm going to the moon, and I'm gonna bring sugar.
Charles Farmer: Hey, sweetie, the objective is- is to connect a common theme based on what Daddy's bringing. So, I'm sorry, you can't go to the moon.
Sunshine Farmer: I never get to go.
Audrey 'Audie' Farmer: Okay, my turn. I'm going to the moon, and I'm bringing... Sunshine.
Charles Farmer: Well, since she holds air, I believe we're all going to the moon.
Will Beacon: How do we know that you're not constructing a WMD?
Charles Farmer: Well, because if I was building a weapon of mass destruction, you wouldn't be able to find it.
