Wu Yi — Chinese Politician

Wu Yi is a retired Chinese politician. She was one of the country's most visible leaders during the first decade of the 21st Century, best known for taking on the role of Minister of Health during the SARS outbreak and later becoming Vice Premier of the State Council, a position she served in between 2003 and 2008. She was also a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China. She has since retired and left public life. We are now preparing for the reform of the yuan's exchange rate system. For such reforms to take place, we need good economic conditions... and we need to do it under tight control.
As for when to reform the yuan, there is no timetable yet.
We will not reform the yuan until the time is right even if there is external pressure.
